Cowes Maritime Museum is one of the Isle of Wight's most historic maritime museums and is full of many interesting exhibits. Attractions at the Isle of Wight's Cowes Maritime Museum include models, paintings, photographs and the Isle of Wight's sailing legend Uffa Fox's famous yachts, the Avenger and the Cowslip.

The Isle of Wight Dinosaur Museum is situated on the Military Road, on the west side of the Isle of Wight. With coastal erosion continually exposing fossils, the main attraction at the Isle of Wight Dinosaur Farm Museum is the brachiosaurus skeleton which was found onsite, and although not complete, is still very impressive and awe-inspiring.

The Isle of Wight's Nostalgia Toy Museum contains over 2,000 Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox toys dating back to the 1930s. There are also a number of annual and themed exhibitions at the Nostalgia Toy Museum, which is situated in the centre of the Isle of Wight, and these include displays of Star Wars figures and Sindy dolls.

The museum explains how the remoteness of the southern coast on the Isle of Wight has long been associated with smuggling, particularly during the early 19th century.

The first-class Isle of Wight Brading Roman Villa once stood on one of the inlets formed by Brading Haven and was an important agricultural centre. It survived into the 5th century and today the museum stands on the remains and includes the main rooms of a substantial house, with intricate mosaics, and an extensive collection of finds and artefacts.
